Additional costs arising from the scope of a matter (for example, court filing fees, disbursements, or additional attendances) will be discussed and agreed before they are incurred. Payment terms are set out in the Engagement Letter. We accept payment by bank transfer or cheque. Fees are generally non-refundable once work has commenced, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Confidentiality

All information you share with us in connection with a legal matter is subject to solicitor-client privilege and our professional duty of confidentiality under the Legal Profession Act 1976. 9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, our liability to you in connection with any matter shall be limited to the fees paid by you to us for that specific engagement. 10. Termination

Either party may end an engagement by giving written notice. If you terminate an engagement in progress, you remain liable for fees in respect of work completed to the date of termination. Clauses relating to confidentiality, payment, and dispute resolution survive termination.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

In the event of a dispute, we ask that you first contact us directly at [email protected] to seek an informal resolution. If the matter cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may refer it to formal proceedings.

Complaints about our professional conduct may also be referred to the Malaysian Bar Council.
